BOOKING INFORMATION FOR CHILDREN AT CC AFRICA LODGES

Kindly note the following policies when making reservations for children:
 
Children 5 years and younger
  • Regretfully cannot participate in regular game-drives

  • Regretfully cannot participate in nature walks outside the boundaries of the lodge
  • Shortened game-drives (free of charge) can be arranged, subject to availability of 4x4 safari vehicles and rangers. Unfortunately these cannot be pre-booked.
Children 6 to 11 years old
  • Can participate in regular game-drives at the discretion of the lodge manager and/or ranger

  • Regretfully cannot participate in nature walks outside the boundaries of the lodge

  • Shortened game-drives (free of charge) can be arranged, subject to availability of 4x4 safari vehicles and rangers. Unfortunately these cannot be pre-booked.
All Terrain Vehicles, Canoes and Mekoros are only available for adults 16 years and older.
 
Sharing Policy for Children

It is CC Africa’s policy that rooms at lodges may only have two occupants. However, parents can share with a child where a room designed and furnished to accommodate three guests (a ‘triple’) is available.

Pricing Structure for Children

Infants 0 to 2 years: Stay free of charge in a cot
Children 3 to 5 years, sharing with 1 or 2 adults: Stay free of charge
Children 6 to 11 years, sharing with 2 adults: Pay 50% of the adult rate
Children 6 to 11 years, occupying their own room: Pay the full adult rate
Children 6 to 11 years, sharing with 1 adult: Pay the full adult rate

General
  • In Tanzania, the recommended age for children travelling is 8 years and over

  • Distances between rooms will be taken into consideration when booking children into their own room at lodges where ’triples’ cannot be accommodated

  • Early dinners for children are always available

  • Child minders are available in the evenings as well as during game-drives but must be booked on the day of arrival at the Lodge and must be paid directly at the Lodge on departure
